Hello community!
After 3 months of being 100% virtual, I'm resuming in-person sessions starting Tuesday, June 23rd. Can I get a "whoop"! I thank you all for your patience as I navigated (and continue to navigate) this new world. The re-opening will occur slowly and with many precautions. Please remember, we are still in a pandemic. My number one goal is keeping us safe while resuming the beautiful and much needed healing we do together.
Exciting Announcement
I am now a certified Breathwork Practitioner!
I have been attending group Breathwork sessions for almost a year, now. It was so powerful, I decided to dive in. Over the past few months, I have been studying and practicing Breathwork and now hold my very own certification. I am beyond excited to share it with you.
Head to my Offerings pafe for more info.
Now, back to the re-opening: Here's what to expect when you come in
As you may have guessed, there have been some changes to opperations. These will remain for the foreseeable future. I'll send you a detailed email before your next session, but here is a review of the basics:
-When you arrive, call for our check in and a chat, via Zoom or phone. This minimizes face-to-face time and allows for Covid 19 screening
-After our chat, I will greet you at the door, grab your signed Consent to Treat form, and remind you to remove your shoes, wash your hands and make sure you have a mask
-You must wear a mask during the session (there will be disposable masks if you forget). I will also be wearing a mask
-Appointments are staggered to minimize number of folks in clinic at once
-I will be sanitizing the space and all high-touch surfaces in-between sessions
-Please come unaccompanied, unless deemed essential
-Touchless checkout-refrain from bringing cash or check. Payment will be taken via Venmo or online credit card processor
-And last but not least, you can expect a warm, safe, healing environment for your personal care
Cancellation policy
I'm human. You're human. This is a strange time to live. Know my cancellation policy will be
flexible on a case-by-case basis and as always, waived if you are/suspect of being ill. If you aren't ill/suspect of being ill, I ask that you please respect my cancellation policy of 48 hrs notice. Any no-shows, cancellations within 48 hrs (without reschedule in 2 weeks) will be charged 50% of full session fee. I appreciate your understanding! You can find my full policy, here.
The death of George Floyd
I'd like to take a moment and address the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. I do not tolerate racism. I do offer a space to face, unravel and tend to the wounds that live deep in cultures of unchecked privilege, ableism, sexism, capitalism, colonialism and several other 'isms and phobias. I stand with every person striving for an anti-racist Minneapolis (and world) using a bottom-up approach. This approach is trauma-informed, sensitive to somatics and the fact that many of us are living in a fog we didn't ask for, unaware of our own programming. This approach also strives to un-learn harmful methods like shame and abusive tactics as a form of motivation, as those likely lead to more trauma.
BIPOC support
I am now offering scholarships to BIPOC for all my services. In my recent research, it is clear that giving back to the BIPOC community, in this way, is one small step to community reparations and a world where everyone is treated equal, has the same privilege and chances, and where everyone can receive healing not just as a luxury, but as a necessary. Please email me for more info in receiving or donating to the scholarship fund.
White folks support
Like many of you, I have been diving deep into my own racism, white fragility and ancestral healing while also trying to stay afloat and balanced. As with any healing work, this is a journey and will take time and a lot of inner-work. Know I am doing my own inner work and I'm also here to support you in yours. I am a safe place to talk about white fragility, unravel ideas, confusion, anger and questions-without shame-and also to start the dive into the deep work of trauma healing. My work in ancestral healing and embodiment practices are a great place to start. Also, one word: Breathwork! It's super great at helping us release, process and heal at a deeply somatic level-which is where it all starts. More about Breathwork, below.
And that's it!
I love you. I look forward to working with you again. As always, email me with any questions. See you soon.
XO,
~Rachel
